Motorists traveling through Pikeville have recently seen a change in the skyline when looking toward the overlook above Bob Amos Park.  In February, construction began on the new Bob Amos Events Center, a $3.5 million dollar, 350 seat facility that will offer another option for those looking for a venue to rent for a special occasion.  Pikeville City Manager Philip Elswick says the hope is to wrap up construction and open the Events Center to the public by January of 2020.
