
HAROLD, Ky. — A Floyd County woman faces multiple counts of drug trafficking, after police found a variety of drugs during a traffic stop.
A sheriff’s deputy pulled over Rozalyn Hamilton, 41, of Harold, after he spotted her make a turn without giving a signal.
While talking to her, the deputy noticed she appeared to be extremely nervous, so he brought in K-9 Zoe to sniff around the car. The dog alerted on the passenger side of the car, and Hamilton reportedly admitted to having a small amount of marijuana.
When the officer asked her to give it to him, he noticed her trying to conceal a lockbox, which he then searched. Inside the box, the deputy found 154 Neurontin pills, 8-and-a-half Xanax pills, 24 hydrocodone pills, four morphine capsules and six psychedelic mushrooms, in addition to about 8 grams of marijuana. He also found a set of digital scales and nearly $3,600 in cash.
Hamilton was arrested on five counts of drug trafficking and other charges.
