One dead, one injured after vehicle crashes into home

167F5F4F-D205-4643-8313-27A1BD8B5E8EPERRY COUNTY, KY.—Officials with Kentucky State Police say that just before 11pm Friday 35-Year old Eric Reed of Hazard was traveling on KY 476 when he lost control of his 1995 Chevy pickup truck, went over an embankment and crashed into a trailer trapping both Reed and his passenger, 35-Year old Kelda Wells of Ary.
Reed was pronounced dead at the scene by Perry County Deputy Coroner Jeff Combs. Wells was air-lifted to Pikeville Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Wells was wearing a seatbelt, Reed was not. No one in the home was injured. Fisty Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
