EKB-TV: Kentucky State Police and the state Office of Highway Safety are collaborating next month to send a message about the dangers of distracted driving. The “One Text or Call Could Wreck It All” campaign in April will combine an education campaign about the dangers of texting and driving with targeted traffic enforcement. Texting and driving has been illegal in Kentucky since 2010. Officials say distracted driving caused 57,000 crashes in Kentucky last year, resulting in nearly 15,000 injuries and 147 deaths.
