Pikeville, KY — A Pike County man has been arrested trying to evade police. According to the arrest citation, a Kentucky State Police Trooper observed 33-year-old Nathan Kyle Worrix of Robinson Creek committing several traffic violations. Worrix allegedly exited onto the Bypass Road in Pikeville. The Trooper said that Worrix gave turn signals several times indicating he was going to pull over however, Worrix continued to drive and turned onto Adams Road near Pikeville High School. Worrix got out of his vehicle while it was still moving and fled on foot over the riverbank. Worrix was apprehended on the other side of river behind the railroad tracks by Pikeville Police Officers. When taken into custody, Worrix apparently had slowed speech and white powder residue on his mustache. Worrix was charged with careless driving, 1st Degree Fleeing or evading police in a vehicle, 1st degree Fleeing or evading police on foot along with various traffic related charges and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
