GEORGETOWN, Ky. — A man and woman from Pike County have been arrested and charged in relation to a home invasion and attempted murder investigation in Scott County.
According to the Georgetown Police Department, Eddie Dean Whitt, 41, of Phelps, and Jennifer Mounts, age and address unavailable, have been charged in relation to a home invasion incident early Sunday morning that involved a shooting. Whitt was charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and first-degree burglary. Mounts was charged with complicity to attempted murder, complicity to first-degree assault and complicity to first-degree burglary.
According to Georgetown Police, Mounts was lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center shortly after the incident. According to the booking log at the Pike County Detention Center, Whitt was arrested by Kentucky State Police in Pike County and was lodged in the jail just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Georgetown Police said the Pike County Sheriff’s Office also took part in Whitt’s arrest.
Whitt had been considered armed and dangerous prior to his arrest.
