Pike man charged with threatening police officers

A Pike County man was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill Kentucky State Police troopers.

53-year-old Benny Hurley was arrested Wednesday.

According to court documents, Hurley “threatened two Kentucky State Police officers daring them to return to his property stating they would leave with their toes up.”

Hurley was charged with third-degree terroristic threatening. He was released from the Pike County Detention Center after posting a $2,000 partially secured bond and is due in court in September.
