PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The Pikeville High School varsity cheerleading squad is bringing home another national title.

According to the Universal Cheerleading Association, the National High School Cheerleading Championship is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country.

This weekend, the Pikeville Panthers won their third consecutive national title at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The squad competed in Division 2 Small Varsity against 155 squads. 15 teams were selected for the final competition.

A police escort is expected to take place tomorrow as the team arrives back to school.
