PIKEVILLE, Ky. – Pikeville Independent Schools and Pikeville High School have a new structure in place for future athletic leadership.

The school announced its new members on social media Friday, formally introducing Brad Allen as Director Athletic Director, Shane Simpkins as Assistant Athletic Director for the high school, and two newly placed assistant athletic directors who will split the role that focuses primarily on junior high, including those students who participate at the junior high level from Pikeville Elementary – Nathan Mullins and Jonah Justice.

“We have worked to transition some roles within the department to allow for greater cohesiveness within athletics for all areas of the district,” Allen said. “The new members of our team are familiar faces, as you have seen them many times supporting our students and coaches across the district.”

The new structure will better enable support for student athletes from grade school through their high school careers, Allen added.

Kevin McAllen will continue as the Little League Director for Pikeville Elementary School.
