PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  Several inches of rain has fallen across the region in the past several days, leading to reports of numerous rock and mudslides.  Emergency Management officials in both Pikeville and Pike County have been working around the clock this weekend as calls came in one after another, reporting weather related issues.  Even though the sun came out on Sunday, reports of slides and fallen trees continued to come in.  Monday morning, documents will be filed for both Pikeville and Pike County, declaring a states of emergency in both areas.
