Police asking for help locating a robbery suspect in Williamson

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person involved in an armed robbery. Around 2:30 Wednesday, the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office and West Virginia State Police responded to an armed robbery at the Victory Lane Gas Station on U.S. 119 in Williamson. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the person to contact 9-1-1, the sheriff’s office or the West Virginia State Police. Callers may remain anonymous.The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Police would advise not to approach the suspect.
