Police: Toddler struck by vehicle while trick-or-treating

trick-gregory-hackneyA Pike County man is facing charges after police say he struck a toddler with his vehicle during trick-or-treat.
It allegedly happen on 4th Street in Elkhorn City.
Elkhorn City Police Chief Bobby Sexton told EKB News 50-year-old Gregory Hackney, of Steel, was driving on 4th Street when he struck the child which his pickup truck.
The child was transported to Pikeville Medical Center for treatment to injuries and has since been released.
Gregory Hackney was charged with first-offense DUI, reckless driving, fourth-degree assault and a felony charge of first-degree wanton endangerment. He was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center and was released after posting a $2,000 cash bond Wednesday afternoon.
