Pikeville, KY — A Pikeville man is in jail after resisting arrest. According to the arrest citation, Pikeville Police responded to the South Mayo Trail area attempting to serve a complaint warrant on 25-year-old Aaron Caines. After officers knocked on the door of the residence and announced ‘Police’, a female voice was heard telling Caines someone was at the door. Again, officers identified themselves, but no one answered. Officers forced entry into the residence and officers saw Caines. They told Caines he had an active warrant and Caines attempted to run into a bedroom after attempting to push one officer out of the way. After a brief struggle, officers were able to physically restrained Caines to the floor and placed him into custody. In addition to the active warrant, Caines was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center and charged with Resisting Arrest.
