Perry County, KY — Drivers who use KY 7 at Cornettsville in Perry County will need to find an alternate route on Wednesday, July 3. CSX Transportation plans to close the railroad crossing at mile point 11.3 for repairs. Work will begin around 8 a.m. Wednesday and will not be completed until around 8 p.m. During this time, the road will be closed to all through traffic. This will impact traffic between Hazard and points south of the railroad crossing. No marked detour will be posted. Drivers can use KY 7 and KY 15 through Isom as an alternate route. Traffic from KY 699 and KY 463 coming from Cumberland, Gordon, Delphia, and Leatherwood may wish to use KY 699 through Leslie County to connect with KY 80.
