Floyd County, Ky.–Prestonsburg Police along with Kentucky State Police began rounding up drug suspects this morning, after a Floyd County Grand Jury issued 16 indictments. Nearly all of the cases trace to defendants in Floyd County, although one of the suspects is from Pike County and another is from Johnson County.

“In the early morning hours the Prestonsburg Police Department along with the Kentucky State Police set out to do a roundup on some sealed indictments we got for drug interdictions here in town. We started out with 16 sealed indictments with most of them in Floyd County with one in Pike County and one in Johnson County as of right now we’ve got five served. There are a couple more teams out right now looking for the rest of them.”

The number of those arrested in the roundup is now at 8 and include 59-year old Basal Moore of McDowell, 34-year old Jeffrey Blackburn and 46-year old Kevin Slone both of Prestonsburg ,  45-year old Lenora Chaffin of East Point and  48-year old Franklin Hall Jr. of Michigan as well as Tiffany Belcher, Randall Crider and Corey Chad Mcintyre. Also arrested during the roundup was Julia King Moore.
