Buchanan County, VA — An overnight shooting in Buchanan County, Virginia has left two people shot, one fatally. According to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred in the Hurley area of the county. Authorities say Deputies found two people shot, one person, who was not identified, was airlifted to Pikeville Medical Center, condition unknown at this time. 34-year-old Matthew Shon Hurley was pronounced dead at the scene according to officials. The investigation on what prompted the shooting is underway with the Virginia State Police is assisting in that investigation.
