PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Shaping Our Appalachian Region’s (SOAR) Innovation Team is hosting an “IGNITE Innovation” workshop series for entrepreneurs, founders, and small business owners throughout the Appalachian region in 2024.
This workshop will be taught by the Business and Innovation Team and will follow the SOAR Complete Guide to Entrepreneurship and the Ultimate Cheatsheet for Kentucky Business Incentives and Funding Opportunities.
Several topics that the workshop will focus on include social media tips, financial decision discussions, team building, and mental health check-ins that every entrepreneur, founder, and small business person should know.
Attendees will have the chance to network and learn from others in the region. While the event is the same, each new location will touch a cluster of the 54 ARC KY counties that SOAR serves. The workshop will be hosted on the following dates with locations included:
● Jan. 17: Cumberland Valley Area Development District
● Feb. 7: Kentucky River Area Development District
● Feb. 8: Big Sandy Area Development District
● March 6: FIVCO Area Development District
● March 7: Gateway Area Development District
● May 2: Barren River Area Development District
● May 14: Lake Cumberland Area Development District
● TBD: Bluegrass Area Development District
● TBD: Buffalo Trace Area Development District
