‘Stop the Bleed’: Free class aims to save lives

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — In observance of National Stop the Bleed Day, Pikeville Medical Center is hosting classes to educate the public.

The classes are free and open to the public.

Both will be held at Pikeville Medical Center on March 31st in the atrium on the 11th floor. The first class will last from 10 a.m. until noon. The second class will last from 1 p.m. until 3 pm.

The national campaign was launched in October of 2015. PMC has hosted classes for law enforcement in the past but this will be the first time the class is open to everyone.
