PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Traffic was snarled on the Southbound lanes of U.S. 23 in Pikeville this afternoon after a small structure fire. Around 4 o’clock, the Pikeville Fire Department was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival fire officials say an outbuilding beside Creg Damron Furniture was engulfed in flames. The outbuilding was vacant at the time of the fire. Officials say it was the storage building for Hall Monuments. No one was injured. At this time, officials do not know the cause of the fire. The incident remains under investigation by the Pikeville Fire Department.
