Thefts Result In Arrests

Dickenson County, VA — Two men have been arrested in connection to thefts. According to the Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office, residents in the Tempes Branch area returned home from church last Saturday night to find their home had been broken into. Several items were taken including a flat screen tv, laptop, cameras and many other items. Another resident in the same area also found several items missing from his home. Yet a third resident reported two men had forced their way into a building by breaking a lock. That resident was able to take a picture of the vehicle the men were in. Upon further investigation, warrants were obtained for Mickey Shane Bond of Coeburn. Bond was arrested the next day on burglary charges. Another suspect developed during the course of the investigation. An arrest warrant was issued for Darrell Vincent Mullins on burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and two counts of grand larceny. Dickenson County Sheriff Scott Stanley and Captain Jarrod Salyer arrested Mullins late Thursday on Route 72 in Dickenson County. The Wise County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
