Two arrested in Johnson County after their vehicle was reported for partially blocking traffic

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. –  Two people were arrested before 9am Monday morning in Johnson County after motorists called 9-1-1, reporting a vehicle sitting partially in the road on KY 1750.  Sheriff Dwayne Price responded, expecting to help a motorist with a problem. However, the driver and the passenger ended up both being arrested on various drug charges.  Sheriff Price said he immediately knew he was dealing with more than engine trouble when he looked inside the vehicle and saw what appeared to be drugs.   The driver, 35 year old Alvin Ratliff, Jr. and a passenger, 25 year old Alexandria Cole were arrested and charged with 1st degree trafficking in methamphetamine, receiving stolen property for the firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia. They both remain lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
