Two people are dead following two separate accidents in Lawrence County.

The first happened around midnight Friday morning when a motorcycle crashed on US 23 in Lowmansville. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved. The name of the victim has not been released.

The second happened around 5:30 Friday morning near the intersection of US 23 and Kentucky 2565 near Louisa and involved two vehicles. One person was killed in that accident.

The investigation continues into both crashes.
