Two Men Face Numerous Charges

Pike County, KY — Kentucky State Police at Post 9 Pikeville arrested a Prestonsburg man and a Pikeville man on a variety of charges. Troopers had responded to a residence on the Left Fork of Island Creek in Pikeville after the homeowner witness two men break into her home and leave. Upon further investigation, Troopers located 32-year-old Robert Anderson of Prestonsburg in the Pikeville Medical Center Emergency Room after he was spotted driving his girlfriends’ vehicle in the Hospital Parking garage. When Troopers attempted to place Anderson under arrest, he began to resist and jerked away. Troopers had to physically lift Anderson up to place him in the Trooper’s cruiser. Once inside the cruiser, Anderson began kicking the back door. Anderson was charged with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, driving under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Disorderly Conduct, Terroristic Threatening, Resisting Arrest and Menacing and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. Also arrested in the Burglary case was 28-year-old Angel Matias Hernandez of Pikeville. Hernandez was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center and charged with Burglary and Criminal Mischief. Both men remain lodged.
