Two people arrested after drugs found inside stolen vehicle

methWARFIELD, Ky. — Two people are behind bars after drugs were found inside a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office allegedly stopped a vehicle for missing a front bumper, then found out it had been stolen from Colorado. Police allegedly found a small plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance and digital scales inside the vehicle. The driver, 34-year-old Bridgett L. Jones, of Covington, Georgia, allegedly admitted she had taken meth earlier. The passenger, 26-year-old Curtis Johnson Jr., of Morehead, was said to have glassy eyes and slurred speech. Police allegedly found more suspected drugs and a syringe on Johnson. Jones was taken to Paul B. Hall Medical Center and then given medical clearance. Both were arrested.

Jones was charged with DUI, receiving stolen property, drug trafficking and drug paraphernalia. Johnson was charged with drug trafficking, public intoxication and drug paraphernalia.
