Two People Die In Perry County Wreck

Hazard, KY. — Two people have died following a multi-vehicle collision in Perry County. Kentucky State Police at the Hazard Post say 59-year-old Robert Campbell of Hazard was travelling south on KY 15 when his 2014 Chevrolet Cruze crossed into the northbound lane. His car collided with a 2006 Ford Ranger driven by John Roberts of Bear Branch, Ky. and a 2013 Kia Optima driven by 48-year-old Judy Willoughby of Booneville, Ky. John Roberts was not injured however, Judy Willoughby was pronounced deceased at the scene. Willoughby’s husband, Richard who was a passenger in the Kia was transported to Hazard ARH for treatment of non-life threatening injures. Robert Campbell was also transported to Hazard ARH where he later died from injuries sustained in the wreck. Investigators do not suspect impairment as a contributing factor to the wreck. Toxicology results are pending an no autopsies will be performed. The wreck remains under investigation.
