PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The University of Pikeville would like to invite the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony this week. Friday afternoon at 2, UPIKE will be hosting a building dedication for its state-of-the-art Health Professions Education building. The building houses Kentucky’s only college of optometry, UPIKE’s nursing program, a dining hall, numerous study rooms and classrooms, a student lounge equipped with a furnished kitchen, and a reception hall, which is offered to students or the community. UPIKE officials say the dedication is not only important for the university, but the entire commonwealth as well.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on the University of Pikeville’s plaza just outside of the Health Professions Education building. The reception will be held in the new reception hall following the dedication.
