Virginia Man Faces Drug And Firearm Charges

Dickenson County, VA — Dickenson County Sheriff Deputies attempted to stop a motorcycle for a traffic violation and became involved in a pursuit when the driver failed to stop. According to authorities, Jesse Lee Stillwell from Lebanon Virginia attempted to elude deputies but lost control and crashed. Deputies report that Stillwell resisted their attempts to place him under arrest and during the altercation, Stillwell attempted to reach into his jacket pocket. Deputies were able to control Stillwell and handcuff him and during a search found a .40 caliber handgun in the jacket pocket. After a search of the motorcycle they located several grams of meth, Suboxone, drug paraphernalia along with cash. Stillwell was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, DUI, resisting arrest, attempt to elude and other traffic violations. Stillwell is currently held without bond at the Haysi Regional Jail.
