PIKE COUNTY (Monday, January 7, 2019) – Repair of a significant embankment failure on KY 468 (Big Creek Road) in Pike County is set to begin Tuesday, January 8.

Highway District 12 Engineering Tech Joe Stanley said Geotechnical Services International (GSI) will construct a soil nail wall at mile point 5.7. Traffic through the work zone will be reduced to one lane, controlled by temporary traffic signals.

Stanley said the work is expected to take about three weeks, more or less, depending on the weather. One lane will remain open to traffic at all times.
