PIKEVILLE, Ky. – For the past 25 years, more than 100,000 eastern Kentucky students have chosen to study coal and how it has impacted our region. And, they have done it by participating in the CEDAR Coal Fair. This week, nearly 350 exhibits are set up in the Health Professions and Education building on the UPIKE campus, representing students from six counties across the region. CEDAR, Inc. President John Justice says he is amazed every year at the knowledge the students possess. And, the students come to the Coal Fair fully prepared to talk about their projects. The CEDAR Coal Fair is open to the public until 8pm every day through Friday on the 7th floor of the Health Professions and Education Building in Pikeville.
