PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  One of the most popular events that takes place during Hillbilly Days is the annual “Pig Drop” which raises money for the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Lexington.  The 2019 winner is Mike Howard, who had square #8.

During the first few minutes of this year’s event, it appeared one of the piglets may have been injured because it was favoring one of its legs.  The pig was removed from the pen and checked for injuries, but event organizers say he has been given a clean bill of health.  EKB’s Makayla Meddings and Gary Slone have more on the story.
