The Johnson County Health Department has confirmed a new positive case of COVID-19 in the county.

According to a press release by the Johnson County Fiscal Court, the City of Paintsville and the Johnson County Health Department, an 8-year-old female has been confirmed positive for COVID-19.

The young girl is currently isolating at home with her family and doing well, the release says.

This case brings the total to 3 confirmed cases in Johnson County, KY.

No other information has been released.
