PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is in jail facing felony charges, following a police chase on Wednesday.

A Pikeville Police Officer spotted Oliver Slone, 39, of Pikeville, allegedly weaving on U.S. 23 South and not wearing a seat belt. The officer attempted to pull him over, but said in his report that Slone sped away instead.

During his arrest, he allegedly told police he had taken meth and klonopin earlier in the day.

He is now charged with fleeing police, DUI and several traffic violations.
