Court documents say a search of Thacker by KSP yielded the discovery of five clear plastic bags on his person containing a crystal substance he identified for police as being methamphetamine. Thacker was charged with a felony count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center and a not guilty plea was entered in Pike District Court to the charges.

The other person found in the residence was not identified in court documents.
