PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Detroit man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for his involvement in a drug ring in Johnson and Magoffin counties.

Jayshawn Robinson, 30, was sentenced Friday to 185 months in prison.

Robinson previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth and heroin. He admitted to being the supplier for a Johnson County drug dealer — 53-year-old Charles Chandler, of Tutor Key.

Police raided Chandler’s home in August of 2021, after undercover officers bought meth from him on three occasions. During the raid, officers seized more than 500 grams of meth and nearly $19,000 in cash.

Chandler and two others, Ashley Johnson, 36, and Cory Johnson, 33, both of Salyersville, previously pleaded guilty for their roles in the case. Chandler was sentenced to 90 months in prison, while Ashley Johnson was sentenced to 80 months and Cory Johnson was sentenced to 46.
