PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A Floyd County man was arrested on drug trafficking charges, after a concerned citizen spotted him passed out in his car.

Deputies were called to Owens Trailer Court just before 8:30 Tuesday night. When they arrived, they recognized the man as Jordan Pennington, 25, of Prestonsburg, and knew there was already a warrant for his arrest.
The police report notes Pennington was holding a syringe loaded with a blue liquid in his hand while asleep. They also found a bag containing seven grams of fentanyl, another bag containing seven grams of heroin, and a bottle containing 14 Suboxone strips.
The arresting officer noted in his report that the amount of drugs he had was more than typical for personal use and an indication that he planned to break down the drugs into smaller amounts and sell them.
Pennington was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared and then booked in the Floyd County jail on charges of trafficking in fentanyl, heroin and Suboxone.
