UPDATE: After police investigated and gave the all-clear, students have now returned to class.

DELBARTON, W.Va. — Students at Mingo Central High School have been evacuated from the school, after a suspicious note was found Friday morning.

Police are investigating after the note was found on school property. Details of the note’s contents have not been released.

The Mingo County Board of Education announced the news in a Facebook post just after 11 a.m.

The board went on to say that there are currently no plans to dismiss school, and that students and staff are being kept in a secure location while security protocols are being followed.
