Keith Long, 35, of Elkhorn City, pleaded guilty in June to possession of meth and fentanyl with the intent to distribute.

Long was pulled over on U.S. 23 at Harold by a Floyd County sheriff’s deputy who noticed him driving halfway on the shoulder. The deputy thought Long seemed nervous during the traffic stop, so he brought in a K-9 unit to sniff around the car, and the dog immediately alerted on the driver’s side of the truck. The deputy then found a lemonade container with a false bottom, containing 180 grams of meth, 12 grams of heroin and 2 grams of fentanyl.

Last week, he appeared in U.S. District Court in Pikeville, where he was sentenced to 60 months in jail and a $2,400 fine. He was taken into custody immediately after his sentencing.
