FRANKFORT, Ky. — All Kentuckians over the age of 18 can now get a booster shot of the coronavirus vaccine. Gov. Andy Beshear signed an executive order to that effect Wednesday afternoon.
The governor says the booster is an essential piece of the state’s fight against COVID-19.
“[It’s] incredibly important that people get out there and not only get vaccinated, but get their booster,” Beshear said. “There has been too much confusion, and with either a plateau or a slight uptick in cases and hospitalizations, now is the time.”
As of Wednesday, more than 437,000 Kentuckians have received a booster shot.
