Alice Lloyd hires new women’s basketball coach

Alice Lloyd alumni Brandon Arnold has been named the new head basketball coach for the Lady Eagles.

Arnold is a former Associate Head Coach of the Alice Lloyd women’s program, he spent five seasons under former head coach John Mills. In his tenure as an assistant, he helped coach the Lady Eagles to the NAIA Division II National Tournament in 2018 and 2019, the only appearances in program history.

The Lady Eagles also advanced to the NCCAA Division I National Tournament in 2020 and 2021, and won the national championship in 2021 while he was on the staff. He also spent time as the Alice Lloyd Cross-Country head coach, helping lead them to NCCAA relevancy after multiple top-five finishes and national runner up performances.

Brandon Arnold’s track record speaks for itself, he is a proven winner. He also has deep ties to the college, playing four season for the Alice Lloyd baseball team. He knows what the program means to the community and how much pride the small town of Pippa Passes has for the Alice Lloyd Eagles. Having coached under John Mills, Arnold said he understands the assignment of keeping the tradition and legacy of the Lady Eagles basketball team alive and continuing their historic success.
