
LOGAN, W.Va. — A Logan County sheriff’s deputy investigating a theft complaint ended up getting information to make a drug arrest.
Acting on a tip, the deputy receiving a tip about drug activity at a residence on Saunders Fork Road.
While speaking to the homeowner, the deputy noticed a set of scales and white powder residue on a table where 33-year-old Johnathan Lanquist was sitting.
A search allegedly turned up a bag of meth in Lanquist’s bedroom. He was arrested and charged with possession of meth with the intent to deliver.
