A Disturbance Call Results in Arrest

Martin, KY — A potentially dangerous situation was defused after a suspect was tased. According to a press release from the Martin City Police Department, Officers responded to a call Wednesday morning of a disturbance at the Our Lady of the Way Martin ARH. When Officers arrived, they found 36-year-old Timothy M. Hicks of Hueysville, in the parking lot causing a disturbance. Hicks refused to comply with the Officers commands and after a brief scuffle, a taser was deployed by Martin City Police Officer Brad Stidham. Hicks was taken into custody and charged with Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, and Public Intoxication of a Controlled Substance. Hicks was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
