PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Nathan Stewart appeared before Judge Tom Smith in Floyd County Circuit Court, Tuesday. Stewart pleaded guilty to burglary. He was originally facing 12 months behind bars, but in court Tuesday, that was reduced to 24 months supervised probation. Stewart’s charge was amended to a class A misdemeanor. Judge Smith was able to take his plea and order his final sentence this afternoon, without the pre-sentence investigation report. Stewart was ordered to pay restitution to the Betsy Layne Senior Citizens Center. He was also ordered to have no contact with employees or those affiliated with the center and he is not allowed on the property.
