Wise County, VA — The Wise County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office recently received grant money to purchase thermal imaging devices. These devices can be used during search and rescue operations as well as helping find people who are wanted by authorities. The grant monies came from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management through funds available through the Department of Homeland Security.
