Arrest Warrant issued in connection to Johnson County murder

FLAT GAP, Ky. –  Kentucky State Police officials continue to put pieces together, following Monday’s shooting death of a Johnson County man.  On Thursday, KSP officials told EKB News an arrest warrant has been issued for Walter Lee Curtis in connection to the murder of 58 year Mike Jones of Flat Gap.

Just before 8pm Monday, August 27th, Johnson County Deputies and State Troopers responded to a residence on Dixon Branch, and discovered Jones lying in a driveway, dead of an apparent gunshot.

Police officials are actively looking for Walter Lee Curtis, of Flat Gap, and ask anyone with any information about his whereabouts to call KSP Post 9 at 606-433-7711.  Callers can remain anonymous.
