PAINTSVILLE, Ky. – More than a week and a half after a Johnson County man was shot and killed outside a home in Flat Gap, police continue to search for the man they believe is responsible. Kentucky State Police and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office are actively searching for Walter Lee Curtis, who is accused of shooting and killing 58 year old Mike Jones on August 27th. Johnson County Sheriff Dwayne Price says from the calls his office has been receiving, he believes Curtis is still in the area. Johnson County Sheriff Price says he and his deputies are investigating every lead that comes into his office about the case.
