The Letcher County Central High School drama department is gearing up to tell a tale as old as time.

The young players will perform Disney’s Beauty and the Beast this weekend in the high school auditorium. It’s the latest in the drama department’s series of annual performances, and organizers say the students the fruits of their labor is enough to give even Broadway a run for its money.

Performances of Beauty and the Beast by the Letcher Central Drama department are scheduled for Saturday, March 24, at 6 p.m., and Sunday afternoon, March 25, at 2:30 p.m., with a character lunch event scheduled to be held prior to Sunday’s performance, beginning at 12:30.

Tickets are $15 for front sections of the auditorium, and $10 for back sections. Tickets for the luncheon are $8, and include a salad, entree, dessert and drink.

All proceeds benefit the Letcher Central Drama department.
