Belfry football program fundraising for new turf

For 14 years, Belfry High School’s football team has played under the Friday night lights on a field with artificial turf.  Coach Philip Haywood says the turf is wearing out, and this will more than likely be its last season.  But, artificial turf is expensive, and Coach Haywood is reaching out to those who support both him and the football program he has led for nearly 40 years.  He says new turf will cost a minimum of $400,000 dollars, and they have raised roughly a quarter of the amount needed.  A gofundme account has been set up as an easy way to give, but anyone wishing to reach out to him, personally, can contact him at Belfry High School.   Coach Haywood says every donation will help bring them closer to their goal.    To donate online, you can click here : https://www.gofundme.com/f/bhs-turf-fundraiser
