PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man under indictment for distributing child pornography now says he wishes to plead guilty to the charges.

Oscar Joshua Calhoun, 35, of Belfry, is charged with three counts of distributing child porn. He is accused of uploading sexual pictures and videos of girls ranging in age from 4 to 10 years old.

The charge carries a potential sentence of between 5 and 20 years, but that could increase to 15-to-40 years if Calhoun has a previous child sexual exploitation conviction. He was convicted of aggravated sexual abuse in 2013.

On Friday, he requested that he be allowed to plead guilty to the charges, without the benefit of a plea agreement. A judge has approved that request, and a date for that hearing will be set at a later time.
