PIKEVILLE, KY.– While most children are busy filling out their Christmas wish list one Floyd County boy found out that the best gift of all is the gift of giving, as he brought Christmas presents to children at the West Care Homeless Shelter in Pikeville.
“I understand they don’t have a lot of toys and stuff like that, so I’m going to be…charitive? I think that’s a word and I’m going to give them presents. Pretty much all I did was give them presents, they thanked me and I said you’re welcome, and I told them Merry Christmas. It makes me feel happy for them. I felt happy because I was giving them the presents.”
If you would like to donate items to the West Care Homeless Shelter simply bring them to 173 Redale Road, Pikeville KY 41501.
