Church members stop would-be Grinch

INEZ, Ky. –  In Martin County, members of a local church stopped a real life Grinch from stealing presents from underneath a Chrstmas tree.  Friday night, just as the youth Christmas play was about to start, a member of the Wolf Creek Community Church spotted a man unwrapping presents underneath a tree.  Once confronted, the man covered his face with a mask and fled on foot. However, church members were able to identify the man, and immediately called the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.  Deputy Aaron Blevins went to the home of 50 year old Daniel Lowe, where he found wet clothing and a mask, matching the description given by church members as well as boots that matched a wet footprint left at the scene. Lowe was arrested and lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, charged with second degree burglary.
